Hear about Jorge and his passion for the Binance community

If you are part of the LATAM Telegram community, you may have spotted Jorge (@JorgeBinance) nearby. We had a chance to chat with Jorge to learn more about his crypto story and desire to help other crypto users.
How about introducing yourself?
Hi! My name is Jorge but my friends call me George or Georgio and I'm from Venezuela.
My crypto story started as a content creator on a streaming platform. That was January 2018, just a few weeks after BTC hit an all-time high of 20k. I funneled the money I made from sponsors into my first cryptocurrency purchase, which turned out to be a pyramid scheme - not the happiest start.
However, scammers are also the reason I found Binance. So thank you, liar! What a blessing in disguise.
How did you find out about the Binance Angels program? Why are you joining?
In the early days of Binance, I needed help at some point and I remember reading that I could get support through Telegram. Of course, today, Binance support is more secure and only available via live chat. Many scammers try to reach out and trick me. In the end, the guys at Binance CS helped me solve the problem quickly.If you want to sign up Binance you can get the Binance referral code.
When I joined the Telegram community, there were many problems with only one admin and many users. After gaining some cryptocurrency experience, I started interacting with and helping community members in my free time. I remember needing help when I was a new user. From that moment on, I realized that was what I wanted to do, so I applied to the Angel program whenever I got the chance.
What is your proudest moment or achievement as a Binance Angel?
My biggest achievement was winning the Binance Content Creation Angel of the Year award. I will also add to my brief time in charge of the Angel program. It was one of the most comforting experiences, being so close to my fellow angels and being there for them all the time. I had to leave this position for personal reasons, but I couldn't stop being a part of this family, so I still have angel wings.
What's your favorite part of the Binance community?
We have one of the best communities in the world. The crypto community is very active, especially the Binance community. Users are very friendly to Angels, always willing to listen to us, participate in our activities, not to mention interact with other users. They all contribute to creating the most beautiful community in the crypto space.
With all the new products launched on the platform since 2017, Binance has grown, developed and matured with the community - which is amazing.
What do you like in your free time?
I enjoy doing many things in my free time, from reading books to playing video games. For books, there is a series called "The Complete CZ Reading List" on the Binance Blog. I took on the task of starting to read everything. While it takes quite a bit of dedication, being a remote worker gives me more free time.
I love playing video games with my friends, and we've been trying out different NFT games lately. Other than that, I go to the pool on weekends or just spend time with my friends. The best part is that we always have time to talk about encryption!
Finally, what qualities and traits does Binance Angel possess?
This is my favorite question. The first thing a Binance Angel must have is enthusiasm and a desire to help. Teamwork is also essential.
You will meet new people and you will learn from them just as they will learn from you. You have to be receptive, listen to advice from others, and most importantly, read. You need to stay informed about Binance products, all thanks to Binance Academy and the content on the blog.
The last quality I can highlight is loyalty. Don't join the Binance Angel program for rewards. Join the desire to help others; remember, Binance's vision is for monetary freedom on a global scale. Binance Angels contribute to this vision by assisting Binance users through their crypto journey.
